Vinyl Windows aren't locking

My vinyl windows that tilt inward for cleaning purposes are not going down all the way to lock the sash. It gets very close but I am afraid to jam the window down to lock it. This has happened on two windows in my house. Could it be the weather stripping is warped? Can that be taken off and replaced? Any suggestions on how to fix so the windows will close is greatly appreciated!

I think I know what the problem is. It's likely that the windows at the factory were made too big, which won't allow the bubble to lock. I suggest you check out our 90-058 shim and see if this could help.

Where does the shim go? These windows previously were locking but as of recent won't. How does this process of replacement work?

This would simply go under the keeper. Hopefully it is enough for the lock to start locking again.
