Vinyl push in stop?

Handy Person from Surprise AZ

We had the glass on our windows replaced recently. There's a "trim" piece that goes around the glass that shrank when they put them back. The glass company called it a "vinyl push in stop" and they said that the part was no longer available.

We found the attached AAMA certification label. I looked it up and it appears that the windows were manufactured by "Atrium Door and Window". It does appear that they are out of business. The house was built 1999.

I've included pictures of one of the windows for reference. Is there any type of glazing material or spline that can be purchased to trim out these windows? I'll be happy to get additional measurements or information if that would help.

Thanks

Guy

Hi there Guy.

Thanks for reaching out to us. Is the thickness of the new glass different from the original? Can you remove an undamaged sample of the glazing? We'd like to see a clear photo of the end profile.

Ok, I've pulled one of the glazing pieces, it appears to be made of a vinyl or rubber compound, and it an almond or beige color. The windows are aluminum.

I drew a quick sketch of the cross section with dimensions for reference as well as taking a picture of the end of the glazing.

Let me know if I can get any other information for you.

Thank you for the additional photos. I'm sorry to say that we don't sell a match or alternative for the part show here. Unfortunately, we aren't sure who may have it since the original manufacturer is out of business. I sincerely apologize that we can't be of help with this repair; please let us know if you have any other hardware questions.
