Vinyl sash stops 3/4"

Home Owner from East Amherst NY
In the picture I have included, the left side of the widow is vinyl and the right side is vinyl but much larger. I think I can cut the left side and get the shoe out. Do you have vinyl sash stops 3/4" that would fill in the cut?
Am I doing the correct thing by cutting the left side. Greg

We unfortunately don't sell replacement sash stops, but the project you described sounds like the best way to get that shoe out. If you wanted to see how we do it, the video guide below should cover everything.

Thank you for your reply to my question. I will take your advice to get the shoe out, get the measurements, and order a couple replacements. Greg.

I ordered 10 pivot shoes from you in July of this year. they were shipped without the screw that i assume holds the internal spiral spring g into place. Is the screw really required? I lost one of the original screws while replacing a pivot screw. If required, where can I get a replacement? Greg

Hey, Greg. I've seen a few people use screws to keep a spiral balance in the shoe, but it is not at all required in my experience. The spiral stays in place perfectly well on its own. Just an added precaution.

If you want to play it safe, though, then I would recommend taking one of the original screws to a local hardware store to have them match it up.

Thank you for your quick reply in regards to the missing screw in shoe. I'm now reassured that the spring will stay in place.
