Vinyl sliding glass door handle

Quick Learner from Danville California

We need a replacement handle for our 20 year old sliding glass door. The plastic piece attached to the metal rod that turns the locking mechanism broke. The mounting screws are 4 15/16 apart. Color is almond. We do not know the door manufacturer. Thanks for your help! Denise

Hey Denise. I'm afraid we don't have an exact match for this setup. The 82-095 is our closest match stylistically, but the hole spacing and outside pull are different than what you report, and I don't believe it is generally meant to work with the mortise lock in your door (our 82-218). See the diagrams below for reference.

Another possibility would be see if you could adapt a handle set like our 82-030 to your door. This handle set has 3-15/16" hole spacing, so you'd have to drill new mounting holes to install it; it absolutely is compatible with the mortise lock in your door however. I can't be certain this would be easy to do with your door, but if the 82-095 doesn't seem right this is an alternative to consider. Let me know what you think.
