Vinyl window spiral balances

Question

Hi, I need to repair 6 windows...both balances. Want to make sure I'm ordering correct balance. I followed the video. The tube is 20 inches long..red tip...5/8 diameter. Do I need the tightening tool or will needle nose do the job too?

Your spiral balance looks very similar to our S600-20 spiral balance with a red tip. The charging tool we recommend for this part is our 75-006. You could always try a needle nose plier to try to tighten the balance. I placed some useful media guides on this page for you to review. It shows how to use the pliers on your balance. Perhaps you may want to try that technique on your current balance before you order your replacement.
