Vinyl window tilt locks

A quick learner from Harrisburg PA says:

I did not find any numbers or markings.

Oh one other thing. I need to fix the spiral balance in several windows. Does the spiral balance tool come in different sizes or is it one size fits all?

I'm confident we can replace this hardware, but we need more information. For the tilt latch, can you tell me the space between the two holes, center to center? That will allow us to identify the right match.

As for the balance, there is definitely not a one-size-fits-all option. Balances are actually very specific to each window and come in tons of different lengths, diameter, and spring strengths. You'll need to do a little homework to figure out what you need.

I recommend watching the video below for more clarification on how these are identified. When you're done, you'll want to look at either our Series 600 (5/8" diameter tube) or Series 900 (3/8" diameter tube). You definitely have one of these, it just depends on, you guessed it, the diameter of the tube.

A quick learner from Harrisburg PA says:
Great! I'm thinking the distance between the holes is 2 7/16.

Re: the balance...it's 29" long, the tube is 5/8" and the color appears to be red.

Thank you! In that case, I recommend our S600-29 spiral balance. I'm confident this can work well for your window. I'd also go with the red tip color po tion.

As for the tilt latch, we don't have anything in this style with a 2-7/16" hole spacing. The closest we have is our 26-177 and 26-176, but the style is different enough to give me pause. Look them over and let me know what you think.

I think that would be prudent, yes, as long as paying for the shipping more than once isn't a concern. In my opinion it's always better to opt for the safe option.

A quick learner from Harrisburg PA says:
I think I'll try 26-176 and 26-177. I need to replace all of them. I have 16 windows so I'd need 16 of each. Would you recommend just getting 1 to make sure it works or get all of them at once?

Thanks
