Vinylaire 7000.

Quick Learner from New York
Hi. The pins on the bottom window that slip in to the side of the window track ripped out of the bottom of the window. The windows are Vinylaire Series 7000 Fully Welded Tilt Replacement Windows. I'm wondering how to best identify those window parts that I need to replace so that the window is functional again? Seems like the track functions property but the bottom vinyl of the window let go and the pins ripped through.

Thanks for reaching out! Based on the description of your issue it sounds like it could possibly be the pivot bar or maybe a pivot shoe. I am not able to confirm with certainty at this time, unfortunately.

The best way I'll be able to identify the replacement parts needed for you window is to show us photos of the hardware you are having an issue with. I'll need to see it completely removed from the window and in undamaged condition.

Thank you for your response!

I've uploaded some additional photos. I can also take the window apart if that's helpful.

Thanks for the photos. That does give a better idea of the issue with the window. So, the good news is that we will be able to get you set up with replacement window hardware. The bad news is that before we can assist in that process, you'll need to replace the entire sash.

We do not have anything that would help to repair the damage on the bottom of the sash. This is where your pivot bars are installed to the bottom of the window, so that they connect to the pivot shoes attached to the spiral balances, that help to support the window weight.

Once you've replaced the sash, if you are still in need of replacement hardware, we would be more than happy to assist.
