Wash Assist Tilt-Wash

A home owner from windsor ct says:

Some of these clips are broken off, how do I replace them? Can't tilt the window without. Are the easy to install?

Thanks in advance,

Shirley

Hi, Shirley.

I'm afraid this part is actually really hard to install. To remove it, you have to unlock the upper sash and lower it, grab the 20-020 in a pair of pliers, and then pull it down and in to roll it out of the jamb liner.

As for reinstalling, you have to compress its sides with your fingers and put it in pointed-end first. You have to roll it in the same as you rolled the old one out.

It may sound easy on paper but it is a pain in the neck. If you really have a hard time with it, you may want the help of a local professional who has worked on Andersen windows like this before.
