Wavy Weatherseal

Question

I purchased the capitol weather seal and the part of the seal that contacts the slider on my window is very wavy in sections keeping it from effectively sealing, I have included a picture. Is there something I can do to correct this or does it need to be replaced?

I'm not sure exactly why your seal is wavy. Make sure that the channel it fits into has been cleaned so that it will slide into it easily and without obstruction. Also make sure not to pull or stretch it. Finally, maybe let it relax before reinstalling it to get the wrinkles out.
