Latch and Door Rollers for Patio Door/Identification
PHP 28
Series 870
The latching/locking mechanism is malfunctioning and the rollers likely need to be replaced or lubed.
Do you offer such a service? Or can you recommend someone?
Much appreciated,
Kurt
Hello, Kurt. We sell a wide variety of different latches and rollers for patio glass doors, so I feel confident that we can help you with this project. The bad news is that the stamp you gave me doesn't tell me anything about the hardware used in your door. There's only one way to identify these parts, and that's to see them.
I know removing the roller was more work than you wanted to put into this project at this phase, but it has to be done. We have to see the roller removed and shown without obstruction, specifically from an angle that shows its back, side, and top. Precise, written dimensions are also necessary.
For the latch/lock, seeing it removed would also be ideal, though we may be able to skate by with it still installed. I will still need written dimensions either way.
Identifying and replacing patio glass door rollers is a time intensive project. You should expect to remove the door twice at minimum: once to identify, and again to replace. This is a day's work, even with two pairs of hands, which is highly recommended.
