Weather Stripping on Caradco doors

A home owner from Colorado says:
Hi, I am looking for a match or good substitute for the weather stripping on my caradco patio doors. The doors measure: 1 3/4 inch by 34 1/2 inch by 93 inch. Above I attached multiple images of the stripling and doors. Let me know if I can provide you with anything else.

Thanks for writing in. We can help you replace this weatherseal, but we will need you to remove a sample from the door and show us its 'end profile'. That cross-section view will help us narrow down what you need.

A home owner from Colorado says:
I have attached a few images on the weather seal below.

Thank you for getting back to us. We weren't able to find an exact match for this, unfortunately, but consider our 58-201. This may be a potential match. Review the dimensions we show for it and let me know what you think.

A home owner from Colorado says:
Hello, I took a look at that product but the dimensions are pretty far off from what I am needing. The seal that is currently in the door has an insert of 1/4 inch with a tube width of 5/16th of an inch. The distance from the bottom of the door and weather stripping is 3/18ths of an inch. Are there any other products you have that would match the above measurements? Thanks!

Tom from SWISCO responded:

We have the 58-170B, which is a little smaller than the 58-201. However this is mostly intended to be used on windows, not doors. You may be able to use it, but I'm not sure.

A quick learner from Chesterfield, VA says:
Hi, I have 2 Caradco patio French doors, I need new weather seals for both. They are standard 74"x 34.5" doors. I've enclosed a picture of the lock side seal. Do you have anything close?

We unfortunately don't sell an exact match for the seal you show in this photo. Given that this is a French door, I think maybe our best option is going to be the 58-056E. This has a thicker foam pad compared to your thin strip, but the shape and function is still the same. At this stage you should look over its dimensions to determine whether it will fit in the space available.

My major concern is that the foam pad will be too thick, which would lead to the door being somewhat harder to close all the way. It may also not be a problem at all, of course, but it's just something to keep in mind as you move forward with this project.
