Weather strip fiber w/ center vinyl strip

These windows are metal thermal pane from Portland Glass. I called and they do not sell the strip material.

I can't seem to get the strip out without filing the metal somehow. Your video shows using a utility knife but that appeared to be on vinyl casements.

I have measured the pile and it appears to be ( just under 1/4" tall ). The track for the slide backing material is approx. 3/16" wide.

I don't see any quick way to remove a section for photo without separating the frame....any suggestions ?

The fiber material is white.

Jon Brush back again,

I was able to file open the channel to get a position of strip out.

* The strip measures 3/16" wide base and mesh is 1/4" tall from to top of mesh.

* It is white, as shown in photos.

* It has a center wind block of thin plastic.

What other info might you need to provide me with the correct replacement strips ?
