Weather strip for handle side of sliding glass door needed

Question

The width as a little squished now that old is a 1/2 inch and the thickness as same lil squished approximately 1/8 to a 1/4.

Looks crushed as older if something as my contractor neighbor friend said maybe something self sticking as this is as older might do too..
he said something about a vinyl piece what ever you think might be best
