Weather stripping early '80's sliding garage window

Question

I’m trying to replace the weatherstripping in an older aluminum sliding window. The original weatherstrip slides into a narrow channel in the aluminum frame. The curved part is about 1/2 inch wide, and the little foot that slides into the channel is about 1/8 inch wide.

I attached a few pictures showing the end profile, the channel it fits into, and the measurements. The weatherstripping is really old and brittle, but I think the curved shape is supposed to be there because that’s what presses against the window when it closes.

Can you tell me if you recognize this and whether you have a replacement or something that would work instead? I also saw the 58-055 bubble seal, but I’m not sure if that would fit this channel.

Thanks for reaching out to us. The 58-055 won't work for you here. Your old seal uses a T slot, whereas the 58-055 uses a ribbed kerf that pushes into a narrow, vertical slot.

We don't sell an exact match for this seal, but the design reminds me of our 58-135. Our dimensions different, though. You should triple check your measurements to be sure. Note that we cannot garner precise dimensions from a photo of a tape measure, so final determination of size must be yours.
