Weather stripping inquiry

Last fall I contacted you about weather stripping for our Pella windows. I ordered the 58-055, it did nothing. Was I supposed to cut it at the corners, or go continuous around the corners. Do you think the 58-053 would be better

The only other option in our inventory is the 58-053 but we can't promise this will work for you since it differs from the original.
