Weather stripping strategy

Question

I just watched your vdeo about changing weather stripping, and I was all ready to go.
I need new weather wool on 8 sun porch double hung windowws.
The problem is my weather strip doesn't pop out the end like on your video. The window is mitred at the corners, so there is no open channel to the edge of the sash.
Do you have a video for THIS one?

I've run into this very same issue many times in the past. What I did was remove the old wool pile by cutting it out with a razor. To install the new pile, I put to put one side of the base into the groove on the window use a putty knife to press the other side of the base into the frame. You could also try cutting a small notch at the end of the wool pile channel, slide our the old weather stripping and slide in the new, then seal the cut out with possibly some silicone caulk.
