Weather trim

Question

We have over twenty year old windows and want update the gasket and weather trim.  We also need to replace the window weight and spring in three windows.  They are all Simonton windows.

I'm afraid that the stickers don't tell me what hardware is used on the window. The only way we can help is if you were to remove both the weatherseal and the balance assembly and show clear, unobstructed photos of them for me to review.

For the weatherstripping, we specifically need to see a clear shot of the end profile. The video below will clarify what I mean. Please make sure that the sample you show me an undamaged sample, or as close to undamaged as you can manage. Figure that the more deteriorated it is, the less likely it is that we'll be able to help. We just can't do anything if the sample is too damaged.

For the balance, I'll need you to remove the entire assembly including pivot shoe and springs and show me a photo of both. You need to measure the width and thickness of the shoe and write down what you get. You'll also want to write down the stamp printed on the spring, which will be necessary to select prior to purchasing a replacement.
