Thanks for posting. This operator might be an older version of our 39-172. Compare the dimensions below with your old hardware and let me know if anything differs, and if so, how.

The lengths are the same but my arm does not have a clip on it (if that is what I see on the picture). What color do you consider this to be?

Thanks very much for your help.

And the cover is not the same.

The detach clip used with the 39-172 slides forward to lock the arm onto the stud bracket. Also, the squared base is an older style that is no longer available but the 39-172 should work as a replacement as long as the dimensions match up to yours. Also, please note that this operator is only available in white. We apologize for the inconvenience.

I haven't taken it apart yet so I am wondering if there is a way for me to keep my cover and replace with your mechanism? Is there a screw underneath that attaches the mechanism to the cover?
Thanks again.

Unfortunately, this type of operator does not generally have a cover that can be removed. I can confirm that this is the case regarding the 39-172
