Weathershield Window part replacement for 2 windows

The bathroom window crank mechanism becomes unscrewed when closing the window.
Does the whole crank mechanism need to be replaced, or only the corkscrew itself?
The bedroom window has a plastic part which has broken in the bad window picture.
That part seems to hold the bottom window corner to the window frame.
Might you be able to suggest parts for these 30 year old windows?
Thanks

Hello!
Thank you for reaching out to us. That corkscrew-looking part is called a worm gear. Yours appears to have come out which means the operator is stripped and needs to be replaced. We may be able to help but we would like to see a photo of your operator with the window open so that the arms that move the sash are fully visible.
As for the hinge, I recommend you take a look at the 36-048 to see if the specifications match what you need.

I attach one image from the bathroom operator with the window open.
Also 3 images from the bedroom bar hinge. I looked at the video but it seems like the quick-release mechanisms had not been invented at the time of this window install (~1992).
Will the suggested bar hinge set still work, and if so is there a video which shows how to do this with the hinges that are already present?
Thanks
Bob

Thanks for the additional photos, Bob! Our 39-171 and 39-172 operators come to mind. Take a look at the dimensions and see how they compare with your old assembly.
The video I posted above is our only video on this hinge but we always recommend replacing the top and bottom hinges at the same time anyway.
