I am looking for a pile weatherstripping with a full 1/2" backing and 3/8"-7/16" pile height.
We have tried 7/16" backing, but it will not lock in the groove and falls out.

I believe you could have an older set of Aldora commercial doors, which used this same 1/2" wool pile. Unfortunately, I don't believe it is still available; at least, we couldn't find anything through any of our sources.
One idea would be to possibly substitute with our 58-080 and use a double stick tape to mount it to the commercial door. Another idea would be to install a type of screw on weather seal the length of the door. Check with a glass shop or door supplier in your area to see what they suggest.
