Weatherstripping for front door on house.

A handy person from Palatine says:
the weatherstripping appears to have a cord inside of it which is stuffed inside a groove in the door frame. I haven't been able to find a similar product online.

Looking at your weatherstripping, I am reminded of the weatherstripping I have in my home. It is very similar to yours especially in the large round "kerf" area. When it was time to replace it, I used our 58-169 nail in type seal and mounted it with small nails. Take a look and get back to us with some thoughts.
