Week Upper Sash balances

Question

My upper sash balances allow the sash to droop when the sashes are unlocked. I don't find the manufacturer if the window anywhere on them. The balance is stamped "27C BSI VG". I don't know how to remove the balance. See the photos above. Any advice you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Hey there! Thanks for reaching out to us. This appears to be a ribbed balance so you'll have to remove the jambliner to access the hardware. The video below shows the most common way to do so.

The Series 751 appears to be a match. However, it looks like you have the 15-197 shoe so this must be a custom order. Can you confirm the metal channel as well as the exact sash weight? Your old stamp doesn't match our usual S751 stamp options so we need to figure out the proper calibration. Can you tell us how your balance attaches to the top of the jamb? Lastly, we'll need to know the depth and width of the metal channel.
