Weep Hole Cover Question

A handy person from Springfield, VA says:

Looking for replacement weep hole covers for my Traco Vinyl Windows. Swisco item 26-417 looked like the perfect fit but I have 2 issues. One issue I can resolve is the slightly snug fit, but the second one I cannot because the weep hole is on an angled part of the frame. This results in the flap being "always" open and defeats the purpose of keeping the insects out.

So the dimensions of 26-417 are nearly correct, but the design won't work. I do not have any of the original covers for comparison, but they looked more like 26-348 (which is much wider than the slot opening I have).

I would appreciate any recommendations.

In this case, I recommend considering our 26-186. It's wider than what you need, but what I like about this cover is it fits over pretty much any weep hole. You just need to drill holes to install it. This is a great fallback option that I honestly recommend nine times out of ten when it comes to weep hole covers; otherwise, finding exact replacements can prove very tricky, as you discovered. Let me know what you think.
