What keeps the plastic pieace from moving when it's in the channel

Hi- thanks for reaching out to us!
The plastic guide stays in place by friction, if it's worn out it may slide on it's own, however it almost locks into the track so I'm surprised if this is the problem.
See our 23-215 Bottom Guide Assembly if you do need a replacement.
