What color tip for a spiral balance

There is no colored tip on the broken spiral balance. How to guesstimate which replacement to choose? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for reaching out to us, Jim! I'm afraid you don't "guesstimate". You must weigh the window sash on a scale and refer to the chart under the product description on the balance store page to determine the proper option.

OK, I did just that after sending the previous 'help' missive. It weighs 24 lbs., so the same question still applies: do I use the green or yellow tip?

Color Tip Sash Weight Range
Red 10 to 22 lbs
Green 14 to 26 lbs
Yellow 24 to 34 lbs

Since the sash weight falls within both tip options, you can go with either. The decision is ultimately up to you!

I figured. I went w/ yellow, which should make it a bit easier to raise the repaired window.
