What is the difference between 39-089 and the 39-187?

A quick learner from Cupertino CA says:
What is the difference between Dyad Operator #39-089 & #39-187 ?

These are the proper operators for my exisitng windows. I am looking for a high quality version for a salty beachfront environment. Ideally stainless steel.

Tom from SWISCO responded:
They both are very similar operators. The only difference is the zig zag arm that connections the 5" arm to the operator. The 39-089 has a longer zig zag arm than the 39-187. It is easier to see the zig zag arm by viewing the operator from the back. Here are images of the back view of both operators.

PS: I also just found this similar discussion regarding the right handed version of these operators.
