Hello,
I discovered this broken piece on my non tilting window that wasn't working
properly. The metal part is 33" long not including the plastic pieces on both ends. As you can see the insides are old (house is about 20 yrs). I may even consider replacing the same piece in the window on the other side of the room. What can you tell me from these photos? Let me know if I can do more.

Hi there, thanks for writing in. It looks like you have a channel balance. In order to identify the correct replacement part, I will need to see clear images of the plastic shoes at either end of the metal channel. Thanks!

Thanks for getting back to me, these are perfect. It looks like you could have either our S380-33 or S385-33 with the 3250 stamp option. The difference between the Series 380 and the Series 385 lies in the depth of the shoe. Take a look at the picture below for more detail. Once you have determined this dimension you should be able to select the appropriate balance.
