What is this peice called?

I need to find this piece that the blue arrow is pointing to. In the picture, the door is open slightly to expose the plate, otherwise the black spring latch that keeps the door closed would surround it. Its the little silver-L shaped plate that seems to be held on by 1 screw. Im sure its called a "latch plate" or a strike plate of some sort but I cannot find anything similar online.

I see a lot of clips on your website but not one that specifically notates that its part of the latch system. Can you help idenify what the name of this piece is called.
