What is white cylinder for?

Ordered these coil housing pivots. What is this extra white cylinder in package. Do not have these in original coil housings.

Hey there. That cylinder is meant to sit within the coil spring and act as added support. It is not necessary but modern versions come with it. Let us know if you have further questions.
