We have a Stanley mirror sliding closet door with all main parts accounted for, but we lost the screws that held down this particular bottom track to the floor. What screws are required for this, and if no particular type is required what screws are best? It's worth noting that the holes where the screws were screwed in on the floor are still there, so if there's any safety risk for using different screws for a previously drilled hole I'd like to know as well.
Thanks in advance.
What screws are best for a bottom track?

Hi and thanks for writing in. We believe you may be able to use a #8 x 5/8" or 3/4" long Truss head screw to install in the 23-242 bottom track. It would be best to visit your local hardware store where they can assist you with finding these type of screws. There is a great chance when you install the new track, that the holes will not line up to the previous holes. If they actually do line up, you should still go with a #8 type screw thread.
