What spiral do I have?

Quick Learner from Melbourne Beach florida
Trying to identify which spiral(s) to get for my windows. The window manufacturer is Better Bilt. The pictures are of 2 different windows. The Orange looking one has a 3/8 30 inch spiral if it matters. The paler looking one has a 3/8 17 inch spiral for reference and is the smaller of the 2 windows.
I realize taking the window out to weigh it is an option. Unfortunately my windows don't pop out as easily as shown in the video and I am concerned about breaking the plastic foot where the spiral attaches. As I angle the window to try to pop it out, the metal frame seems to jam from the angle before popping out.any other ideas concerning this will also be appreciated.
Thanks

If by 3/8" you mean the diameter, then these are S900-30 and S900-17 Spiral Balances, respectively. The orange tip is just a faded red tip; the paler one though will need an exact sash weight. If you can't remove the sash, you can place a scale on the sill and gently lower the sash onto it. This isn't ideal, but if you're careful you should still be able to get a reading to determine what Color Tip to use.

Note however that you will need to remove the sash regardless to replace the spiral balances. So long as the sash is raised a few inches and the sash is brought all the way forward, you should be able to tilt it out. Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
