When does this go bad

Just curious. Doing a remodel and replacing some stuff on the windows (tilt latch, shoe, weatherstripping). I notice each window has about 150" of 3/16 wool pile. It appears to be in good condition (clean, intact and not matted).

Unless you're feeling a draft coming through your windows I don't see any reason to replace the weatherstripping.
