Where can I get extra keys for 40-058?

Hello,

I just recently purchased and installed the lever handle and deadbolt set, 40-058. The product comes with 2 keys, but I need 4 additional keys for my family. I have taken the keys to 3 different places to have the additional keys cut/made, but each place did not have the correct size blank key. I was told that this key can?t be copied because it?s either a special key or a dummy key that can?t be copied.

Can you tell me where I can go to have additional keys made or do you sell additional copies of the key? This will be a BIG inconvenience if I am not able to have additional keys made for my family or for a spare. The only thing that is on the key is ?High Class Lock? and the number 230. Any information that you can give me would be gratefully appreciated. I?ve never experienced anything like this, so I?m at a complete loss at this point.

Thanks for your patience during this busy season. The 40-058 takes the "Y11" key blank, which can be acquired at most hardware stores in your area, or a locksmith. That's been my experience, anyway. I'm not sure why your locksmiths can't help.
