Which balance for top sash

Question

I have a double hung window that is missing the balance hardware on the upper sash. Picture of bottom balance attached. Do I need the same balance for the upper sash? Can you direct me to an equivalent part on your website?

Thanks for posting! I am certain we can provide you with the window balances needed for your repairs. Although, I will need to see clear photos of the top and bottom attachments to identify the correct balances. The stamp only tells us the weight range the balances can support but we cannot use it to confirm the series needed for the repair.

It is very likely you'll need the same balances for the upper sash. You'll need to double check the top and bottom attachments as well as the stamp on the channels to confirm.
