Which pivot shoe? Blue or brown brake?

One broken balance and other spiral balance came loose from the pivot shoe. Best I can measure with it still installed is 2-1/8 high by 1-1/4 wide by 17/32 thick. From underneath I can see the brake is blue. Determined S600-24 for spiral balance.

Not sure if I should choose the 1/2 thick with blue brake or 17/32 thick with brown brake?

I have a cutout to remove it at the top of the channel but cannot slide it beyond the sash stop screw threaded from the outside in. I can turn it out some but not enough to get the pivot shoe past. I would need to uninstall the window or cut it off to slide it past. So it may be possible my measurement is suffering from parallax error.I'm unsure just how close the shoe needs to fit between the two choices for thickness.

Can I use a dremel to cut the screw or better off trying to spread the jam?

Based on your pictures, I would recommend our S600-24 spiral balance and 15-188 pivot shoe. As for the problem with the screw, I'm not sure what it would be. May we see a picture of the issue?

Here is a close angle that shows how far it protrudes. That is as far as I can turn it out when it hits the frame. And another of its location relative to the cutout for removing the pivot shoe.

Aha! That clarifies things. This is a jamb adjuster screw. Normally, it is set flush to the track so as to not interfere with the pivot shoe movement. If you can't remove it or turn it in to make it flush, then it should be alright to cut it off. My logic is, your window has been installed for some time now, so the window shouldn't settle any more.
