Will 70-008 work?

Question

I am looking to replace the 1/4 dia plunger pin in my screen , the sash is 1 inch wide. will your #70-008 plunger pin work ? I'm concerned the 1.5 inch length will be too short . the existing pin measures 1.75 length OAL with the plastic knlb in place . Thanks Don

I've come across this problem before. I'm not sure if it will work for you, but one possible solution  I've discovered was to cut the "collar" on the black cap. That allowed the pin to stick out a little further from the screen frame. Most screen frames today are usually 3/4" wide, which is why the pulls pins today are made shorter. Could that work for you?
