Will work with inside screen

Hello,

Thank you for your time in taking my question. I am wondering if the crank handle is removable or pinned in? Two reasons; 1: If the crank can be removed each time and hung on hook as to not stick out all the time. 2: as mentioned in title. If the crank is removable each time, than a simple hole could be drilled in a interior screen. Does this sound feasible? I will in fact have the space inside the jamb for the screen as my jamb will be in the neighborhood of 4 1/2" wide. 1 3/8" window sash, 1 1/4" spacing for this opener 3/4" screen
