Windgate double hung coil balances

Quick Learner from Ft Walton Beach, FL
I need 6 to 10 double coil balence sets for Windgate double hung tilt in windows by Alliance. The width of the sliding portion is 1.25 inches, and contains a pot-metal rotating receptacle for the window pin. Two coils are attached.

Thanks for posting, and for the detailed pictures! Unfortunately, I can't really identify the coil balances. Can you please tell me if they have any stamps or numbers printed on them? That will help us determine the best replacement.

In the meantime, please take a look at our 15-175, which I believe will replace your shoe. As for the cover, I do not believe we carry anything like it, but I think you should just be able to reuse the one you have.

There are absolutely no identifying stamps of any kind on any of the parts.

I can indeed reuse the "covers" which are actually part of the pin/bearing the coils rotate on.

I'll go look at 15-75.

Thanks,

REW

There should be a number printed on the coil spring near the end, where the screw is. Can you please recheck? This is the simplest way of identifying what coil balance you need. If you are certain that there are no numbers, please let us know the weight of your window sash, and we can help you from there!

I received the shoe and springs, and they are great.
Now I realize I need two more covers, as two were destroyed in the repair process.
Any suggestions on where to get them?

The covers are 1-1/4", or 32 mm, wide, 1-3/8", or 35 mm, tall, and 1/2", or 8 mm, deep. The axle that the bushing rests on is 7/16", or 11.5 mm, in diameter.

The cover and bearing that are normally used with the pivot shoe and coil you have are the 15-143, 15-144, and 15-145. Do you think these could work for you?
