I have this identified as a
27" SERIES 775 BALANCE WITH AND 1 1/4" SHOE BUT I DON'T KNOW WHETHER IT SHOULD BE B, C, OR D . CAN YOU TELL BY THE STAMP?

Hi Lyle. 2701 is from an older rating system we don't use. It designates a spring strength calibrated to support 19 through and including 24 lbs. This, unfortunately, cuts right across two of our options for the S775-27: the 27C, which is for 17 through 22 lbs, and the 27D, which is for 22 through 26 lbs. The safest thing to do would be to weigh the window sash. You can then match that exact weight with the correct stamp option.
