Window Balance

Question

I'm looking for a suitable replacement for this window balance. It measures 27" long (end-to-end of the metal frame only), 9/16" wide, and about 5/8" deep. The only markings read as follows: "(03/9) UNIQUE 26-E-50."

We appreciate you reaching out to us. I recommend the S380-27 or S385-27 channel balances depending on the depth of the bottom shoe. You'll have to measure as shown below to determine the best match. The old 26-E-50 stamp may also translate to the 2650 stamp option but you can always weigh the window sash on a scale to confirm. A pair of balances with the 2650 stamp will support a sash weighing 26 to 30 pounds.
