Window Balance

Hello...trying to figure out what replacment to get for this. The Metal part is 31" long. The bottom piece where the window "peg" goes into is broken off.

Any ideas?

Thank you for reaching out to us. We may be able to help with this. Can you remove an undamaged balance and the shoe from the window? We'd like to see a photo of the stamp on the metal channel as well. Can you also tell us how the balance installs at the top of the window track?

What is a "shoe"?

The shoe is the part located at the bottom of the balance in your first photo. It also engages with the pivot bar.

Here are some pics....

The stamped metal says 31C
the top string attaches via a screw.
The shoe does not detach from the channel. It is riveted in. I did my best to photo graph it. It appears to be approx 1.25" wide??

Thank you for getting back to us. Take a look at the S795-31 with the 31C stamp option. This balance comes attached with the 15-195 closed cam shoe by default. Note that the old balance is installed backwards whereas our balance has the exposed spring side of the channel pressed against the jamb, not facing out toward the house.
