Window Balance

Contractor from Los Angeles
I need a pair of window balances. The stamp on the current ones says: 30 HP44-45 J6X CMC 9

It is 31" long and the sash weighs 57 lbs. I'm not sure if the current balances are the right ones. They do not have enough power to hold the sash in open position even though the springs are still functioning.

I always order 385 series for this building. Can you get this made based on the length and weight I have provided? What is the cost and how long does it take to get them?

Hello there!

Thank you for reaching out to us. We can help with this. It must be a custom order, though, since the sash weight exceeds our options. Can you also show us a photo of the inside of the balance's metal channel where the innerspring connects to the pulley mechanism? That'd be located in the middle of the channel. Can you measure the bottom shoe as shown below and tell us what you get?

The shoe size is 1 3/32.

Thank you kindly! Your balance would have to be a custom order due to the clip that connects the spring and pulley mechanism. Your sash is very heavy, however, so we have to look a little further into this. We'll reach back out as soon as we have more information.

Thank you for waiting! We truly appreciate your patience. Before we get the ball rolling, can you confirm that the original 30HP44 stamp balances were the incorrect strength for your window? We just want to be thorough as custom orders are nonrefundable.
