Window Balance Channel (non tilt)

Question

The 5 photos hopefully give you enough information to identify the channel. Windows were installed in 2001. The channels were supposed to be identical but it would appear 1 has been butchered for an unknown reason.

The only marking on the channel appears to be 22 4 HR CALDWELL (but is a bit unclear).

This balance is a Series 380 or Series 385 channel balance. Take a look at the attachments and see which matches. If you have the 1" attachment shown on bottom, you need Series 380, and if you have the 1-3/32" bottom attachment, you need Series 385. If your metal bar measures 23" inches (measure it) then you can use S380-23 or S385-23. You'd weigh your window sash to choose a weight option, paying particularly close attention to the "2240" option that seems pretty similar to your "22 4" stamp.
