Window Balance Guide

Home Owner from Hawthorn Woods, IL 60047
One window balance guide is broken and need to be replaced. See the attached pictures: the window right side balance guide is not broken, the window left side one is broken. Maybe it is better to replace both of them.
This single hung vinyl Andersen window was installed around year 2001. If more information is need, please let me know. Thank you so much for your help.

Hello,

We'd be happy to look into this for you, but we can't identify your pivot shoe while it's still installed. If you could remove the intact shoe from the other side, as well as write out the exact width and thickness, we can go from there. See the videos related on this page to help you through the process. Thank you!

This window is the middle one of the three windows in a row (see the attached picture). To remove (replace also) the pivot shoes I need to take out the two vertical white jam liners (that run from bottom to the top) between windows so that I can slide the pivot shoes out of the channels. Is that correct? I do not  know how to take out the vertical white jam liner. I do not see an screws that fix the jam liner.
Could you please give further recommendations? Thanks!

We recommend following the cut-out method shown in our video below if there are no cut-outs in your jamb liner to access the pivot shoes. Take a look and let us know if you need anything else in the meantime.
