Window Balance, Replacement - for Pella Single Hung Vinyl Sash window''

Pella SN 6 692821 01 (08SEP2005) (right side from inside house).
window balance channel is stamped with 3240

The top pin holding the spring has broken (pin is supposed to go through side to side)
Window is vinyl Double pane window. Likely purchased in Colorado or drop shipped from Pella.

Pella actually uses a variety of balance manufacturers, so I'm not sure what yours is. Please take a few pictures of the balances in question and we can work from there. Thanks!

Pella. Vinyl window. White. Single Hung. Double pane.

The channel is 5/8" wide.
Spring is 19" long (hook top to hook top)
Channel is 32 1/2" long
Channel is stamped 3240
channel is stamped BSI PA (manufacturer?)

I uploaded 3 pix.
Found on the metal spacer between the glass on the moving sash:
6 692821 01 (08SEP2005) (not the sn)

PS can you use the Pella serial number? (once I figure out what it is)

Thanks, Steve. We can help with this balance, yes. It will have to be custom made. It is not actually Pella brand, so I don't think knowing the serial number will help. I actually only one last piece of information. There should be a metal clip at the end of the pulley string. Please show me this clip and we can get started on your replacement balance.

Hi - I have been negligent in finishing up my order. **I will take a picture of the hook and send in.

Also, do you do repairs or could you tell me how to fix my spare (broken unit) after I pay for and receive my 2 balance assemblies?

Great, I will wait for the picture of your metal clip.

I'm afraid we do not do repairs. See the video below. It's for a different kind of balance but the principle should be more or less the same.

Hi Paul,

2 Sept 2015 Hi. here are the pictures of the hook for my Pella vinyl non-tilt sash windows. I have pictures of the hook.

1) I would like to order 2 balancers
2) I would like to purchase an extra (string) hook

What is the next step?

I was curious. Any idea why Pella would not use Pella balancers?
