24300 BSI window balance for a Harcar window

Question

Windows in my house are 25 years old. The window balance that is broken is numbered 24300 with a perpendicular stamp---B.S.I. The channel is 25" long and 5/8" wide.

The part of the pulley that attaches to the long spring is broken, but given it's age, I think I should replace the entire window balance.

Do the sash brackets come with it the window balance?

Thanks for posting, Brad. We should be able to help, but it will depend on the nylon caps. The top cap looks like our 19-005, but I'm not sure about the bottom. It could be either our 15-005 or 15-004. If it's the 15-005, I recommend our Series 380 channel balance. If it's the 15-004, I recommend our Series 385 instead.
