Window Balance - model 2750 on side

I have a window balance that won't catch/hold the window in place. Pictures attached. It is a 28" balance with model 2750 stamped on the side. The top end plastic has wings but the bottom doesn't. It is exactly 1" wide with wings at top plastic. Width of rail is ~1/2" or 9/16".

Hello there!

This is something we can help with but it will need to be a custom order due to its configuration. We'll just need more information so that we can get this moving for you. Can you show us a photo of an undamaged metal clip at the end of the pulley cord? Can you also confirm how many balances you need?

Please note, the metal channel for our replacements will measure 27-7/8" long so you may want to triple-check this measurement just to be safe.

Hi Emily - the picture of the ends are actually what they look like on all the other windows so I don't think it is broken. I need two of these. I suspect we could get the ones with wings if needed - it should work. Confirmed 27 7/8 is correct and I need two of them.

Hey there! Emily isn't here today but I can help you from here.

I think I understand what she was asking for; all balances like yours use a metal clip that attaches to the end of the cord. Its function is to anchor to the side jamb of the window so that the balance has a point of contact to leverage its tension.

That clip is obscured in your current photos. I think Emily thought it was missing, but looking closely at your photos it does appear to still be there. It's just too hidden for me to identify. There are multiple different possibilities so we will need to see a clearer shot of that clip before we proceed.

Once I have that, we will email you a purchase link and price quote that you can use to place an order on our site. I'm very confident that we have the hardware you need, I just have to see that little clip.
