What is my window balancer

Home Owner from Denver, CO
I am having a hard time locating a replacement balancer for my window. I thought I found the correct one but when I weighed my sash it is 36.4 pounds and I couldn't find a balancer for that weight. Length 27" Width 9/16" Depth 9/16" Bottom plastic piece 17/16" depth 15/16" width top plastic piece 3/4" depth 15/16"

This is for a Linford Glass window and Linford went out of business. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for posting. Can you confirm the depth of the bottom shoe? You say it's 17/16". Was that a typo?

Aside from that, I've narrowed this down to two possible channel balance Series: either our Series 380 or our Series 385 balances.

Now, as you can see, there is only one difference between these two Series, and that is their bottom shoe. The Series 380 uses the 15-005 while the Series 385 uses the 15-004.

It's also possible that we have two different ideas of "depth." Check out the image below to see what dimension I'm specifically referring to.

Once you've determined your Series, we can then work on getting you the correct stamp option!

I remeasured the base and it is slightly more than 1" so it must be the 15-004 above. Thanks for your help.

I'm still waiting for a reply to this request for assistance. Please help! I think we've established the size but I don't see a weight range in the series 380 that includes a sash that weighs 36.4 pounds.

Thanks for your help.

Hey, sorry for the wait. We were just researching the best option for you to use in this instance. Now, for a 27" channel balance, I think you might want to go with a custom-made 2670 option. Two balances with this option can carry a window sash weight of 36 through 39 pounds. If that's the way you want to go, let me know and I can get the ball rolling on this.
