I need to replace several window balances throughout my house. The sash guides failed and the balances shot up and failed due to the initial failure. From seeing someone else's post on here, I belive these may be Kinco windows. The markings on the balances are "29 3 KW CMC 11" on the left balance and "29 4 HW CMC 7" on the right balance. This particular sash weighs approximately 24 pounds.
I am leaning toward the S385 2940 with 18-166 sash guides. Do you agree with my selections?
I have attached pictures as well of the balances as well.
Thanks,
Greg

Hi Greg, it does look like you need the 18-166 top sash guide and the 67-026 face guide. For the balance, please recheck the depth of your bottom shoe. We believe it is 1". If so, use the S380-30. If it measures 1-3/32", use the S385-30. Now for your spring weights, it's very unusual to use to different weighted springs, 2930 and 2940, on the same window sash. The 2930 carries a sash weight range between 16-23 lbs, and 2940 carries 23-28 lbs. Mabe the manufacturer or service technician found it necessary to use this combination for a smoother operation of the sash. Regardless, please review.

Paul,
Thanks for the response. The depth of the bottom shoe is indeed 1", so I am going to order the S380 versions. I would imagine that the builder just went with what was available and accidentally mixed up the balance weights on the same sash. I do have different sized sashes that will use the 30's as well as some that will use the 40's. I forgot all about the face guides, so I'm glad you pionted the correct part #'s for those as well.
