Window Block and Tackle

A handy person from San Diego says:

Hello,

There were no markings on the existing block and tackle. The steel rod measures 25 inches in length, see photo 2230. I need to order 2 of these for a window that slides up and down and would like to know what specific items I should order.

Thank you

James

Bob from SWISCO responded:

Hi James. This looks like either an S380-25 or S385-25 to me. The difference between these two balances is the depth of the bottom nylon shoe, or 'heel-to-toe' measurement, so compare both with your old hardware to see what matches best. You will then need to choose a stamp option. Look for a stamp code somewhere on the metal channel. if there is none, or you are uncertain, obtain the exact weight of the window sash. You can then match that exact weight with one of the weight ranges listed alongside each stamp option on the product page.
